Dance Anywhere

Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 October 2026

Welcome to Dance Anywhere!

Dance Anywhere is a community-powered platform connecting dancers with studios, teachers, classes, workshops, events and dance spaces around the world.

By accessing or using Dance Anywhere, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. About Dance Anywhere

Dance Anywhere is an online directory, discovery and community platform that enables users to share, explore and connect through information about dance-related places, activities and services.

Information on Dance Anywhere may be contributed by community members, teachers, studio owners, event organisers and other independent users.

Dance Anywhere primarily provides the digital infrastructure for collecting, organising and displaying this information and facilitating connections between users.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Dance Anywhere does not operate listed studios, employ listed teachers, organise independent activities or manage third-party venues.

The inclusion of a listing does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, certification or guarantee by Dance Anywhere.

2. Community-Contributed Information

Dance Anywhere is built around the sharing of local knowledge and community participation.

Users may add dance studios and spaces, contribute activity information, suggest corrections, share photographs, confirm details and report inaccuracies.

Although we aim to maintain a useful and reliable directory, information may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated or unverified.

Community confirmations reflect user contributions and do not necessarily indicate independent verification by Dance Anywhere.

We may use automated screening, community feedback, moderation and other reasonable measures to improve information quality. These measures do not guarantee that all information is accurate or up to date.

Users are encouraged to help improve the directory by reporting errors and suggesting corrections.

3. Checking Information Before Attending

Users are responsible for checking relevant details with the teacher, studio, venue or organiser before attending, booking or making payments for an activity.

This includes:

  • Class schedules and availability
  • Prices and payment arrangements
  • Addresses and venue accessibility
  • Age and skill-level requirements
  • Equipment, clothing and participation requirements
  • Cancellation and refund policies
  • Relevant health and safety information

Dance Anywhere does not guarantee the accuracy, availability, suitability, safety or quality of independently provided activities.

Users should make reasonable enquiries before participating in any activity.

4. Bookings and Payments

Dance Anywhere may provide tools for requesting, booking and managing participation in dance classes, workshops, events and private lessons.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the relevant teacher, studio or organiser is responsible for delivering the activity.

Booking availability, participation conditions, cancellation rules and refund arrangements may vary by organiser.

Users should review the terms applicable to each booking before confirming a reservation.

During the current free beta, Dance Anywhere does not process online payments for classes, workshops or private lessons.

Where payments are arranged directly with teachers, studios or third-party providers, those arrangements are between the relevant parties and subject to their applicable terms.

Using a booking feature on Dance Anywhere does not automatically make Dance Anywhere the provider of the underlying activity.

Nothing in these Terms affects statutory consumer rights.

5. Studio and Teacher Listings

Listings may be created by community contributors or maintained by verified studio owners and authorised representatives.

An owner-verified listing indicates that the relevant account has undergone a process to establish its authority to manage the listing.

It does not necessarily mean that Dance Anywhere has independently assessed or certified the studio, instructor, qualifications, facilities or services.

Studio owners, teachers and event organisers are responsible for maintaining accurate information about the services they offer.

Users must not falsely claim to own, manage or represent another person, studio or organisation.

6. User Contributions

Users are welcome to contribute information that helps others discover and participate in dance.

By submitting content, you agree to:

  • Make reasonable efforts to provide accurate information.
  • Avoid knowingly false or misleading claims.
  • Respect other people's intellectual property and privacy rights.
  • Avoid impersonation, spam, fraud and malicious activity.
  • Avoid hateful, threatening, harassing, exploitative or otherwise unlawful content.
  • Avoid manipulating reviews, confirmations or community reporting systems.
  • Respect the rights of other contributors and listed organisations.

Users retain ownership of their original contributions, subject to any rights belonging to third parties.

By submitting content, you grant Dance Anywhere a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, format, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate and make the platform available.

You confirm that you hold the rights or permissions necessary to submit the content and grant this licence.

7. Photographs and Other Media

Users uploading photographs, studio logos or other media must have the appropriate rights and permissions to share them.

Users should take particular care when uploading images featuring identifiable individuals, especially children.

Dance Anywhere may restrict or remove images where there are reasonable concerns about copyright, privacy, safety, impersonation or other legal rights.

Users may report images they believe are inappropriate, misleading or unauthorised.

8. Community Corrections and Moderation

Dance Anywhere may provide tools for confirming information, suggesting edits, flagging inaccuracies and reporting harmful or unlawful content.

We may review, restrict, correct or remove content when reasonably necessary to maintain the directory, protect users, address reported concerns or comply with applicable law.

We may also restrict or suspend accounts involved in serious or repeated violations of these Terms.

Moderation decisions may consider available evidence, community feedback, the rights of affected parties and applicable legal requirements.

Where appropriate, users can challenge a moderation decision through the platform's available reporting or support mechanisms.

A community contribution does not grant ownership or administrative control over a studio or teacher profile.

9. Independent Activities and Physical Safety

Dance and movement activities may involve physical exertion and associated risks.

Independent teachers, studios and organisers are responsible for the activities and services they provide, including their applicable safety practices and legal obligations.

Participants should consider their own physical abilities, experience and circumstances before joining an activity.

Dance Anywhere does not independently inspect every venue, supervise listed classes or certify every instructor.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. External Websites and Services

Listings may contain links to third-party websites, social media pages, booking platforms and payment services.

These external services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Dance Anywhere does not control third-party websites or transactions merely because they are linked from the platform.

Users should review relevant external terms and exercise appropriate caution when sharing personal information or making payments.

11. Accounts and Platform Access

Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their accounts.

Users must not attempt to access another person's account, private information or restricted management functions without authorisation.

Studio management permissions are reserved for verified owners and authorised administrators.

Dance Anywhere may restrict access to accounts or features where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance or enforcement of these Terms.

12. Free Beta and Service Availability

Dance Anywhere is currently operating as a free beta platform.

The platform may evolve over time, and some features may be experimental, modified or temporarily unavailable.

We aim to provide a reliable and accessible service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free functionality.

During beta, existing professional tools and community features are provided without platform subscription fees.

Future optional professional services may be introduced with separate pricing and terms. Any such changes will be communicated before users are asked to make payments.

Participation in the free beta does not create an obligation to purchase any future subscription.

13. Accuracy, Responsibility and Liability

Dance Anywhere primarily provides information-sharing, discovery, community and booking-support tools.

It does not generally control the operations, services or conduct of independent teachers, studios, venues or event organisers.

We do not guarantee that community-contributed information or third-party services will always be accurate, available or suitable for every user.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Dance Anywhere is not responsible for losses caused solely by independent third-party conduct or information over which the platform has no legal responsibility.

However, these Terms do not exclude or restrict liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from our own negligence where applicable, fraud or violations of mandatory consumer rights.

Nothing in these Terms removes any legal duties applicable to Dance Anywhere as a platform operator.

14. Privacy and Personal Information

Dance Anywhere processes account information and other personal data to provide its services.

Information about the collection, use, storage and protection of personal data is addressed in the platform's separate Privacy Policy.

Users should avoid publicly sharing sensitive personal information about themselves or others.

Users must not upload another person's private information without an appropriate legal basis.

15. Reporting Problems and Complaints

Users can help maintain the safety and accuracy of Dance Anywhere by reporting problematic content or behaviour.

Reports may concern:

  • Incorrect or outdated listings
  • Misleading information
  • Impersonation or fraudulent claims
  • Copyright infringement
  • Privacy concerns
  • Harassment or abusive behaviour
  • Potentially unlawful content
  • Inappropriate photographs
  • Other violations of these Terms

Reports and complaints can be submitted through the reporting or support features available on Dance Anywhere.

Where appropriate, please include the relevant listing or content and a description of the concern.

Reports will be assessed in accordance with applicable law and the platform's moderation procedures. Appropriate action may include requesting clarification, correcting information, restricting access, removing content or taking action against an account.

Users may also use available complaint or appeal mechanisms to challenge decisions affecting their own content or access.

16. Changes to These Terms

Dance Anywhere may update these Terms as the platform develops or applicable requirements change.

The latest version will be made available on the website with an updated effective date.

Where required, users will receive additional notice of significant changes.

Changes to these Terms will not retrospectively remove statutory rights.

17. Applicable Rights

These Terms are intended to operate consistently with applicable law.

Nothing in them limits mandatory consumer protections, data protection rights, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any disputes will be addressed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Our Community Principle

Dance Anywhere is built on the belief that dance knowledge grows through sharing.

Every contribution can help someone discover a new class, teacher, studio or place to move.

We encourage everyone to contribute responsibly, respect the work of others and help keep the directory accurate, inclusive and welcoming.

Find your rhythm, wherever you are.
